In 2007, I moved to Bismarck to attend the autobody program at Bismarck State College. Upon graduation, I attended a Paintless Dent Repair course to become more proficient in my trade. After working at a local body shop for 13 years, I opened my own PDR business. In my spare time I enjoy being with my wife and 2 children. I also enjoy serving in the North Dakota National guard, I’ve been in for the past 10 years. I look forward to serving the Bismarck Mandan area for all their paintlees dent repair needs.

What is PDR?

PDR, or Paintless Dent Repair, is a method of removing minor dents and dings from the vehicle without removing the paint. This is done by patiently pushing the dent out from the back of the panel, or sometimes from the front using specialized tools.

Will PDR damage my vehicle’s paint?

No. Today’s factory paints are very flexible and will not be damaged in any way by this process. PDR is the only way to repair a dent and keep your factory paint.

Will the dents come back?

No. Once a dent has been removed properly with PDR, it never comes back.

Can any dent be fixed?

No. The most important factors in determining if a dent can be repaired by PDR are depth and location. Large dents can be fixed successfully when they are shallow. Cracked or missing paint inside the dent can be an indication that a dent is too deep to be repaired with PDR. Some small dents that are very deep also cannot be fixed using PDR because the metal becomes too stretched. The most common dents fixed by PDR are the size of a golf ball and under. 95% of minor dents can be repaired. Certain areas on a vehicle, such as some quarter panel opening lips, some forward areas of heavily braced hoods, or the very edges of some panels are examples of locations that are unlikely to be corrected by PDR.

How long does PDR take?

Single dents can be repaired in less than three hours. Hail repairs can take anywhere from one day to three days, depending on severity of the damage.
